Our Story
How it Started
I was 21 years old, when the importance of taking care of our bodies really dawned on me. I was awakened to the reality that our modern lifestyles are causing many of our modern chronic diseases. Intently listening to and reading related research, I realized how very unhealthy my own lifestyle was. With conviction welling up within, I took the choice to make greater changes on the way I lived my life and asked the Lord to give me strength. I noticed great improvements on my health, especially with the relief of stabbing chest pains I started to have at 14 years of age during times of stress and lack of sleep.

Fast forward in medical school, I was so excited to learn all about human physiology and the great machinery of the human body. However, I was dismayed that nothing related to lifestyle prevention and management was taught in our curriculum that time.

In 2017, the Lord led me to the first Philippine College of Lifestyle Medicine Convention and, at the same year, started taking courses on Lifestyle Medicine under Harvard Medical School and under the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. I immersed myself in all the materials that I got, thinking this is an answered prayer after all the years of desiring in my heart to help people with this advocacy. I knew in my heart that this is Divine Providence.
Small Beginnings
In the year 2019, I finally passed the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine and later trained to become a Plant-Based Culinary Chef to further help my patients with their health journey.

In the year 2022, we gathered a team of equally passionate people and Plated Prescriptions was born.
​
This work and advocacy is close to my heart. I have seen the research come to life in the health improvements of our own family and my patients. And I wish to be able to help more people become more aware, make better life choices, and find better quality and meaning in life.
